Mr Ali Uddin Ahmed and Mrs Umme Salma Shazia are its directors. It offers Overseas Education Consultancy Services that include Student Counselling, IELTS/PTE guidance, Course Selection, University Selection, Admission Application, Visa Application Support and Documentation to students willing to study abroad.
Mr Ali Uddin Ahmed, MBA, MSc (U.K) is a British Council Certified Student Counsellor and a Managing Director of Meraj Overseas Education & Recruitment Services Pvt Ltd. He completed his MBA in Finance & Marketing from Osmania University, India and his MSc in Management & Finance from Birmingham City University, U.K. He is also a member of the Chartered Management Institute, CMI UK.
He travelled to many preferred international education destinations. During his stay in the UK, he observed that the UK offers high-quality education and many job opportunities for qualified candidates including international students. However, because of a lack of proper guidance and direction, many international students miss the job opportunities that can help them get a UK Work Sponsorship to gain valuable experience. Similar study and career opportunities are available at other major study destinations, such as the USA, Canada, Australia, Malaysia, Germany, Spain and New Zealand.
International students spend a substantial amount of time and money on higher education abroad with the hope of a bright career and to help them achieve this, professional guidance is needed.
However, the majority of overseas education consultancies/agents do not offer proper guidance and just for agent commission, they get students enrolled in any course, at any university, and any study abroad destination, so eventually after completion of the course, students find themselves in a tight spot as they would not be able to secure any internship or career opportunities to gain work experience and will have to return to their home country without a valuable degree, work experience or employability skills.
Ali noticed that some dots need to be connected and specialised guidance needs to be provided to help students find the right course/university/study destination and, after completion of education, undertake an apprenticeship, obtain necessary qualifications/certifications/licenses, gain employability skills, and the required experience which will enable them to secure a better career opportunity overseas or at home country.
Mrs Umme Salma Shazia is a British Council Certified Student Counsellor and a Business Director of Meraj Overseas Education & Recruitment Services Pvt Ltd. She is a seasoned educator with over 15 years of diverse experience. During her professional career, she worked as a Business Development Executive for Authorgen Technologies Pvt Ltd, India and as a Real Estate Expert for Midas Real Estate Company, based in Dubai, UAE.
Currently, she manages ‘Abduls Engineering Academy’ and while interacting with undergraduate students, she pointed out that there are many bright students who are willing to complete their further studies abroad and looking for career opportunities overseas, and these students/youth have many questions/concerns that needs to be addressed professionally.
According to Mrs Umme Salma Shazia, proper student counselling to gauge a student's learning potential, academic background, language skills and financial ability would help student counsellors provide necessary guidance about further education and career opportunities overseas.
